Right now I have The Hunger Games on my FW800 drive and American Psycho is still on the BD disc.įYI: I noticed someone in a thread below me had trouble with ripping The Hunger Games specifically but I should add I can't rip ANYTHING. That key refreshes periodically and you have to get the new key to keep the beta version working. ![]() anyways I have two screenshots I took to make this diagnoses easier.really just wanna get these ripped proper (I prefer using my MacBook at times). makeMKV is one of those rare apps that lets you use it as freeware (beta) - as long as you have a recent beta key. This should be in the past like Yesterday or 5-6 days before. I know the version before this freaked out because MakeMKV's website was down for 3 days and it started counting how many days I had left backwards or something weird like that. Target the location of the EXE application of the trial software you want to run which is generally in ( C:Program Files Program Folder ) Specify the desired time and date at which you want the software to run. Need help! Just grabbed American Psycho and The Hunger Games on Blu-ray and when I go to rip them it keeps telling me the trial is up but I can still use all its functions.weird because I just installed the latest version after it had previously expired.anyways it gives me errors in the message box/log/text area saying Failed to open disc and shareware unavailable.somewhat frustrating. (Arguably deserving a spot in the pantheon alongside other notables like DVD Shrink and ImgBurn. It may be premature to panic just 6 days past expiration of the last rolling, recurrent free license key for the perpetually-in-beta MakeMKV, one of the truly great video enthusiast programs to come along. The MKV format can store multiple video/audio tracks with all meta-information and preserve chapters. It converts the video clips from proprietary (and usually encrypted) disc into a set of MKV files, preserving most information but not changing it in any way. I've deleted MakeMKV from my Mac and deleted the MakeMKV files in my Library folder as well and cannot find any other relevant folders, yet whenever I download the app again, I still get the the "evaluation period had expired" warning. Step 1: Launch this MakeMKV alternative and insert DVD disc into DVD drive-ROM. I'm at the end of my activation trial period and keep getting the message that my "Evaluation period has expired" whenever I start to open a disc, and immediately after is when it says the disc failed. I ran into a disc that failed to read a few weeks ago and chalked it up to the disc's fault (sent all the appropriate info to MakeMKV support, too.) Then I tried a different disc a few days ago and had the same problem, leading me to wonder if it might not be the discs.
